According to the artiste from her words during an interview: " Oluchi is a story,a parable and a window. As a story it offers an insight into the life of some character in the suburbs (real name unknown) who battles with the memory of abuse and attempts to fight it off the wrong way. Victims of physical or sexual abuse sometimes opt for means of escape from their pain and get depressed. In this depression, they may indulge in alcohol or drugs or even try suicide. In Oluchi, I tried to give the victim a reason to live and move on without self-hatred or malice to the abuser. To feel the pain is necessary but then afterwards the person should let go and live his or her life like it never happened. As a parable it shows that one must fight to be free from constraints or pressure to remain in the dark. To live in the light is to live in the truth and the truth as we all know shall set you free. We should flee from dangerous snares which our parents and people who love us warn us about when we are growing up. As a Window,it shows us the real world. Hey, these things happen around us on a daily basis and it's time we quit ignoring it and do something about it'' And that's how the cookie crumbles! Don't you just love that song?
